Provides specialist skills, integrity and knowledge in key areas of IRM, Air Dive and SAT-Dive operations including legislative requirements and current good engineering practice.

Understands clients' needs; identifies and addresses design parameters and problems; develops and implements solutions.

Ensures project and HS&E compliance and adherence to project budget & schedule.

Under own supervision, independently evaluates, organises and prioritises work for self and others.

Undertakes responsibility for production of deliverables, which may include engineering support to the Drawing Office, design calculations, specifications, procedures, analyses, progress reports, bid evaluations, study reports and various 3rd-party submissions.

Signs and issues technical documentation as originator or checker, accepting personal responsibility for its adequacy.

Ensures all relevant safety objectives and legal requirements are observed.

Responsible for ensuring those standards of installation engineering services provided comply with corporate standards and client specifications along with appropriate legislation.

Develop and track man-hour estimates and assist planner in developing schedule for onshore installation engineering and offshore implementation to suit overall project plan, taking responsibility for delivery.

Identify project resource requirements and liaise with Project Engineering Manager to ensure availability and allocation.

Identify and quantify any client engineering changes to contract which will affect installation.

Ensure variations and deviations are recognised and processed.Manage technical queries and change control requirements.

Manage multi-discipline installation engineering and installation activities.

Ensure that all procedures and methods of work developed have considered the safety of personnel and assets to minimise loss.

Liaise with Engineering Manager to ensure installability of designs.Organise and manage HAZID and SRA (isolations and barriers) as required during the progress of the work.

Organise operational reviews where required to elicit inter-company input.

Liaise and collaborate with Offshore Management Teams on a regular basis during preparation and execution of projects and tenders.

Manage the interfaces between offshore construction vessels and sites.

Ensure appropriate installation vessels and equipment are made available as required to perform the work offshore.

Manage the fabrication and procurement of installation aids and equipment as required for performing the works offshore.

Manage the development of new installation equipment and techniques as required to suit prevailing conditions.

Manage the logistics for getting equipment and materials to the appropriate sites.

Manage internal and external installation related interfacesManage the collection and compilation of installation related as-built data into as-built report

Seek new and innovative ideas to improve the service provided by the project

Provides expertise and trains / mentors more junior engineersMay manage a team of engineers on a project or within a discipline both onshore and offshore.

Facilitate team spirit within project.

Candidates should be degree qualified in an Engineering related discipline however demonstrable experience will also be considered

Chartered Engineer status is desirable

Significant proven IRM project delivery experience including previous experience on both Air and Sat-Dive operations is essential

Ability to lead and function within an engineering team and across multiple projects and clients.

Ability to prioritise own and others’ workload, manage time accordingly and inform team members where constraints will affect a project in terms of programme or budget.

Manage interfaces within a project structure, including other disciplines, drawing office, document control, project management, Offshore Management Team, client and suppliers.

Manage change control within own remit on a project.

Inform team members where constraints will affect a project in terms of programme or budget.

Demonstrable ability to work within time/budget constraints.
