Assist supervising and coordinating the preparation of barge operations with all stakeholders (affiliate, Contractors, operations):
- Supervise barge / production trials, pre-operation tests and specificBbarge preparation;
- Verify completeness of the barge mobilization;
- Verify readiness of the barge and the equipment before staring any operations;
- Participates to Hazid/Hira/JSA for Barge/Pipelay activities, as required;
- Verify completeness and consistency of the dossier of all deliverables/documents/procedures applicable and required for the job;
- Verify completeness and consistency of all SIMOPS/COMOPS/Crossing Agreement dossier required for dedicated operations and coordinate with affiliate and field ops for any SIMOPS/COMOPS purpose, as required.
Supervise the operations executed by CONTRACTOR:
- COMPANY focal point for night shift activities onboard the pipelay barge;
- Coordination of the work of the Night Shift CPY team on board (Positioning Surveyors, Welding/NDT/Coating Inspectors and any other specialists that may be required for the SOW)
- Report in writing daily vessel activities;
- Has a duty of care of COMPANY personnel on-board the vessel.
- Assist RSES managing COMPANY personnel rotation plan to cover the vessel campaign and coordinate COMPANY personnel transfers;
- Review CONTRACTOR Daily Progress Reports;
- As required, assists RSES in case of an emergency onboard the vessel;
- Ensure operations are carried out in strict accordance with the Contract requirements and approved procedures;
- Organise and/or attend or delegate pre-job or tool box meeting as required;
- Review any change (CRF) to approved procedures and requirements as per applicable MOC specific procedures;
- Report to RSES any forecasted sequence/planning changes;
- Verify and report any stand-by including weather stand-by;
- Assists managing interfaces of all marine assets working on Site including CONTRACTOR, third party vessels, support vessels, as well as COMPANY’s other Contractors vessels or drilling rigs;
- Ensure proper reporting to RSES;
- Participate preparing Lessons Learned/Operations close-out;
- Monitors all rigging equipments are certified and color coded as per applicable COMPANY rules and specifications;
- Coordinate MWS services activities on-board vessel;
- Prepare comprehensive and complete Hand-over for his back to back

- Familiar and proven experience on similar positions;
- Proven experience in Pipelay (anchor spread barge);
- Good interpersonal and communication skills;
- Fluent English (written and spoken) mandatory, Russian and Azerbaijani would be a plus;
- Skills and experience managing contractor or subcontractor in complex multicultural and multi site context;
- Ability to adapt and to represent company in discussions/negotiations with contractors;
- Personnel management experience;
- OGUK Offshore Medical Certificate & BOSIET, STCW would be a plus.
