The jobholder main responsibilities are to assist the Start-up Manager in achieving those key project activities during the commissioning, start-up and initial operations of the assigned Facilities until handover to the Operations organization.
Review and contribute to the Detailed Design contractor's production of the process and mechanical deliverables.
Provide overall commissioning engineering expertise to project activities
Assist with all mechanical aspects related to equipment selection, design, installation, commissioning and start-up planning
Conduct project team member briefing sessions with respect to engineering requirements and
Prepare and submit engineering progress data, including narratives, charts, graphs, etc.
Provide start-up and commissioning inputs for Hazard and Operability (HAZOP) reviews and for Risk Management activities, as appropriate.
Review Piping and Instrumentation Drawings (P&IDs) for safe and operable features
Contribute to and attend Inspection and test plans, including plan for Site Integration Tests (SITs)
Contribute to the development of an overall commissioning and start-up logic and schedule, to ensure seamless transition and handover from Construction to Commissioning and to Operations.
Support the establishment of the strategies, plans and targets for the commissioning phase to ensure the achievement of key project objectives in respect to HSE, quality/ performance, schedule and cost.
Monitor material and equipment delivery and ensure effective storage, preservation and maintenance, and records in line with vendor requirements.
Review and comment on the Contractors documents including method statements, ITPs, work procedures and practices.
Drive the Contractors completion plan and transition from area to systems completion, pre-commissioning and handover.
Contribute to the development of the required overall progress monitoring tools for the commissioning and start-up phase and provide timely information of progress to the CSU Manager.
· Level / Diploma: Master degree in Engineering.
· Professional Experience: About 10 years of experience in Operations of oil & gas facilities including 5 years in a start-up supervisor role.
· In-depth knowledge of: Commissioning & Start-up of Subsea and Surface facilities, Operation and Commissioning software
· Other required Competencies: Oil and Gas process facilities, interface with contractors/subcontractors.
· Fluent in English and Azerbaijani languages
